✦ Synopsis

Progesterone rapidly dissolves in an aqueous solution containing hydroxypropyl-b-cyclodextrin (HPBCD) at 1:2 molar ratio, forming a soluble inclusion complex. After filtration and freeze-drying of the final solution, the final powder was examined by SEM, DSC, TGA, XRD, Raman, and FTIR spectroscopy. Experimental results confirm that an inclusion complex exists in the solid state and possible structure of the complex is briefly discussed.
