✦ Synopsis
Catalytic redox processes with participation of hydrogen and oxygen proceeding in a solid phase nanoreactor (sulfonated polycalix[4]resorcinarene) containing Pd, Cu, and Ag have been studied. It is shown that catalytic activity of sulfonated polytetraphenylcalix[4]resorcinarene containing Pd in oxidation reactions of hydrogen by nitro-benzene and by copper or silver cations at 313e353 K and at 1.013Â10 À5 Pa is 1.1Â10 À2 , 5.0Â10 À3 , 3.7Â10 À3 mol H 2 / min$g Pd, accordingly. Its catalytic activity in a reduction reaction of oxygen by metallic copper at 350 K and at 1.013Â10 À5 Pa is equal to 3.45Â10 À3 mol O 2 /min$g Pd. It is supposed that a great rate of proton diffusion in a polymeric phase should promote high catalytic activity of sulfonated polytetraphenylcalix[4]resorcinarene containing Pd.
