✦ Synopsis

Dielectric measurements are reported on glass capacitance sensors prepared by the sol-gel method. The low temperature dielectric behaviour of glasses can be used as a thermometric property with several advantages over resistance thermometers. The sol-gel process offers the possibility to prepare small glass capacitance sensors of fast response time and sufficient sensitivity down to the NK-range with well-defined chemical composition and morphological structure.
