✦ Synopsis

This note deals with a practical implementation of programming concepts which we believe to be necessary parts of large application programs. They proved successful in the analysis of events involving elementary particles in track chambers. The user community for such programs consists of scientists with a wide geographical spread and access to computers of almost any make.
