## Abstract Excellent soft magnetic properties have been achieved in a wide metal volume fraction (__x__) range for as‐deposited (Ni~75~Fe~25~)~__x__~–(SiO~2~)~(1–__x__)~ granular films fabricated by magnetron sputtering. With __x__ changes from 0.81 to 0.52, the films exhibit small coercivity (__H
