✦ Synopsis

The structure consists of a three-dimensional framework built up from centrosymmetric Co 2 (HP 2 O 7 ) 2 clusters, linked through PÐOÐCo corners, delimiting interconnected tunnels. The Na + cations partially occupy two independent positions in the tunnels at a distance of 0.58 (2) A Ê from each other. The structure of NaCoHP 2 O 7 in the solid state is similar to that of NaZnHP 2 O 7 and CaCoP 2 O 7 .
