Violet Parsons is unremarkable. She gets up, goes to work at her soul crushing job, and comes home to spend the evening with her unusually yellow cat. Her favorite time of the week is when she gets to vista her childhood best friend, Sal, for a few rounds of billiards. And... that's it. She lives a quiet, unremarkable life.
She hates it.
It's not that Violet wants an exciting, action packed life. But after spending day after day at a job she despises, and night after night with no one but an admittedly sweet cat to keep her company, Violet is beginning to worry that there's nothing more to life than bland drudgery. If not for playing billiards with Sal, she'd have gone crazy long ago.
Yet when you least expect it, life throws a curveball. An unexpected trip to the vet's office puts Violet in the path of Lydia, a snarky but softhearted kindred spirit for Violet. Lydia seems to get Violet from day one... and strangely, they can't stop running into each other.
Soon, Violet is falling head over heels for Lydia, and with each day it gets worse. When Lydia asks Violet to help her improve her billiards game, Violet jumps at the opportunity. Yet there's more than one surprise lurking for Violet, and a casual afternoon of billiards may prove to be the most important of her life...
