✦ Synopsis

An exposition is given of smooth BIB-designs and their local properties.

Here, we study smooth BIB-design and some of their local properties which can be related to internal and external structures and duality. This provides us with some equivalent characterizations of a class of such designs (see Proposition 2.9).

We use [3, Chapters 1 and 21, for the following definitions and notations.
