✦ Synopsis

A narrow passband with a large sidelobe suppression ratio wa¨elength filter in a ¨ertical coupler structure using a distributed and a slow coupling scheme is proposed and theoretically in¨estigated. 1.4 nm 3 dB passband and 21 dB sidelobe suppression are obtained at the operating wa¨elength of 1550.7 nm.
