✦ Synopsis
Small Camera Movements as a Means of Reducing the Amount of Broken and False Detected Lines in Hough Transform
his letter shows how one of the most unwanted problems of Hough transforms for straight line detection, namely the breaking and replication of lines, can be easily overcome by introducing Tsmal l camera movements. The reported technique is particularly suitable for application in systems capable of on-line, real-time Hough transform processing. Experimental results are presented that substantiate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
