โœฆ Synopsis

We have performed small angle neutron scattering experiments on crystals of YBa2Cu306 and YBa2Cu3Or.9 at room temperature. The scattering is highly anisotropic with strong intensity along the c* direction. This is interpreted in terms of single particle scattering by platelet-shape particles with large dimension ( > 0.5 ~tm) perpendicular to the c axis and 100 A thickness. In addition the scattering from YBa2Cu3Or.9 shows a Bragg diffraction peak which comes from a periodic structure parallel to (a, b) with a periodicity of 560 A.

The structure changes proceeding in AlCu 2.1 at. yo nIg(x) alloys with inagiiesium coneentration from 0 to 1.2 at.% at room temperature and 100 "C are followed by small-angle neutron investigation. The results are fitted on different inodels. The most important result is that with increase of the Mg
