✦ Synopsis


The measured small angle electron differential cross sections (DCS) for the resonance transitions in Cd II at 75 eV and Cd I at 6.4, 10, 20, 40, 60 and 85 eV are contrasted through the generalized oscillator strength (GOS) with the GOS obtained from our recent universal extrapolation function. We find that most of the measurements require renormalization and/or correction of near-zero scattering angles.
