This book is filled with a great cast of characters and an even better storyline that makes it difficult to put down. A tantalizing mystery that stays on your mind when you're busy with other matters and pulls you back to it the moment you find an opportunity to resume.

Review

A tight, well written, foot to the floor thriller reflecting the current political situation both in the United States and world. The action begins on the first page and tension builds. A book I could not put down.

  • Michael Boggia, Amazon Reviews

What an exciting, thrilling ride it will be. Falbey develops his characters with care, has them interact realistically, and builds suspense from the get-go. While the book reads well throughout, the last several chapters kept me up long after my flight had landed.

John's book made me feel like I stepped into a CSI episode with Tom Clancy as the director.

From the Author

This book is the first in a planned trilogy. In every generation Mother Nature produces a handful of individuals who are beta models of human beings in future generations. Stronger, faster, smarter. More evolved. What if scientists discovered this anomaly and developed a means for identifying these individuals? What if the intelligence and military communities recruited and trained them to use their extraordinary abilities for the blackest of black ops missions? What if something caused them to focus their deadly talents on an enemy destroying the U.S. from within?

The Soviet Union spent decades and enormous capital trying to subvert and destroy America's social, political and economic structure. The USSR is gone, but what if another interest with similar goals succeeded to the assets it implanted? Is the current political turmoil and systemic upheaval the result? The Sleeping Dogs trilogy explores these questions against a backdrop of today's political and technological developments.

800 years ago Geoffrey Chaucer warned against waking sleeping dogs. Now some fool has let the dogs out!
