✦ Synopsis

Site-selective spectroscopy is demonstrated for both parametric and non-parametric four-wave non-linear mixing in the pentacene: p-terphenyx system where there are four unique substitutional sites. The linesfiapes show the ctiierent interference effects expecled for parametric versus non-parametric methods.

The srtc srlcction polarizarion technique can be employed fo establish dire& the symmetries of the individual vibron-K b.ulds in emission spectra of organic radicals. This is dlustrated by an investigation of the p-\ylyl and duo 1 radicals.
