✦ Synopsis

A theoretical model is presented which describes quantitative!y the elimination of the inhomogeneous broadening in luminescence spectra of impurity centres on site-selective laser escitation. The model esplains our expcrimenial data showing a remarkable dependence of the cxitation selectivity on the excitation frequency: there is a gradual disappearance of the selectivity upon increasing the escitation frequency within the O-O transition band of various impurity porphyrins in amorphous matrices.
