✦ Synopsis
The adsorption isotherms and "'Xe NMR chemical shifts of xenon in the zeolites Nay, AgY, and in AgY preloaded with z 1 molecule/supercage ethene and carbon monoxide were measured at 25 "C. The experimental data reveal the blocking of the silvercation sites for xenon by the preadsorbed molecules. Ethene and CO are found to block the previously postulated two types of silver-cation species in the supercages of AgY in a different way.
