β¦ Synopsis
SET effects have been observed in point-contact tunnel junctions on surface doped Si. Changing the electromagnetic environment does not appreciably affect the junction capacitance. Furthermore the influence of a Coulomb gap on STM-spectroscopy on superconductors is discussed.
