✦ Synopsis


Translational energy spectra with vibrationally resolved states of NO*('Z+, u) formed in charge transfer collisions of He2+(E(HeZ+)=70 eV) with NO were measured in a hi8h-resolution scattering experiment. The observed population of the vibrational levels of NO* is close to that given by Franck-Condon factors derived from photoelectron spectroscopy.
