## Abstract Single‐crystalline silver microplates, with average edge length of about 1.5 ΞΌm and thickness of 100 nm, have been synthesized by a simple extraction‐solvothermal method. Samples were characterized in detail by X‐ray diffraction (XRD), field‐emission scanning electron microscopy (FE‐SEM
