✦ Synopsis
This paper evaluates the effects of two premixed commercial buffer systems on baseline changes, artifacts, and contaminants in amino acid analysis using o-phthalaldehyde detection. The effects of additional components such as isopropanol are discussed. An alternative combination of premixed commercial buffers that minimizes artifacts and contaminants is proposed.
