Ukraine: Krymsky Titan -TiO 2 ZAO Krymsky Titan completed several projects last year with the aim of increasing both product quality and capacity at its Armyansk TiO 2 pigment plant. The company spent $2.5 M on a major overhaul and upgrade of the compressor station. It spent $877,500 on an automated membrane filter press system and it spent $718,800 on the installation of a new automated packaging line. Nameplate capacity remains at 80,000 tonnes/y, but production was nearly 9% higher than this for full-year 2005. Target production for full-year 2006 is 91,000 tonnes/y. The company intends to install a third production line by 2010, bringing nameplate capacity at Armyansk to 120,000 tonnes/y.
