✦ Synopsis

It has been very difficult to accomplish simultaneous reconstruction of a massive defect of the long bone associated with a large skin defect. Yoshimura et al reported a new procedure using a vascularized free fibular transplant with a monitoring flap. This procedure was used in four cases that had resulted in massive bone and skin defects after wide resection of benign and malignant bone tumors occurring in the long bones. Our results using the composite vascularired fibular graft were gratifying.

## Abstract Complex midfoot defects represent a reconstructive challenge since midfoot plays a key role in standing and gait. We report the case of a 27‐year‐old patient with a complex midfoot defect due to a high‐energy gun shot injury. The defect included the tarsometatarsal complex, all three ar

We describe post-total maxillectomy secondary facial contour reconstruction using an osteocutaneous scapular flap nourished by flow-through vascularization from the radial vascular system. Scar contracture caused by either total or partial maxillectomy for maxillary cancer was completely released wi
