The synthesis of 1_(2-pyndylaz&2,7-dlhydroxynaphthalene (2,7-PADN) and the electroanalytlcal charactenstlcs of its metal complexes are reported In pH 9 80 buffer solution the complexes of copper, nickel, lead, cobalt and cadmmm v&h 2,7-PADN gwe sensltlve adsorptlon polarographlc waves at -0 35, -0 45, -0 49, -0 60 and -0 67 V, respectwely, which can be used to determme trace amounts of these elements, the detectlon bmlts bemg 8 0,5 0, 2 $0 5 and 5 0 nM, respectively
