Increasing popularity of simulation has resulted in a large number of simulation software tools. This pape~ discusses users' requirements and presents the results of surveys on the use of simulation software conducted in 1992 and 1997. Findings of the survey indicate which types of simulation software are primarily being used, users' opinion about positive and negative software features and possible ways of improving simulation software.
