โœฆ Synopsis

In this paper, we present some recent development on the oxygen steelmaking analysis and slmulatlon. With reference to the LD process we give an enlarged meaning to the emulsion theory by means of which we can well describe each reactlon rate proportional to its afflnlty. As a conclusion, In this paper we also report some results of the slmulatlon of lndustrlal converters obtained according to the above approach. KEYWORDS Steelmaking, LD oxygen converter, refining reactions, bath-slag emulsion, process simulation, thermodynamic of irreversible processes.

We use an atomistic model to simulate the structure, lattice dynamics and thermodynamics of silicate minerals. Our approach uses the Born model of a solid, in which the interaction between atoms is described by an interatomic pair potential. We have extended the study of thermodynamics to its very l
