β¦ Synopsis
A computer simulation model is developed for visualising the effect of particles on the evolution of dendrite morphology.
The simulation is performed on a two dimensional square grid for dendrites of a pure material growing into an undercooled liquid. Particles of different thermal diffusivities and sizes are dispersed in the grid. The particles alter the local temperature field and also act as physical barriers to dendrite arm growth. Consequent changes to the dendrite morphology are observed. The morphology changes are studied as a function of particle volume fraction and thermal diffusivity.

## Abstract A model is presented for the simulation of the structuration of polymer particles under conditions in which the new polymer chains are compatible with the polymer previously formed. The model involves the calculation of the monomer concentration gradients within the particles due to dis
