A simulation model which computes the dynamics of forest growth influenced by atmospheric pollution contains two Z-dimensional ODE systems. Dependent on a bifurcation parameter which represents pollution stress, the behavior of either ODE system undergoes a typical change from subcritical survival to a supercritical breakdown of the model system.
