✦ Synopsis

Formulae were derived in a previous paper [l] for the fluorescent X-ray intensity emitted by a three component mixture.

One of the formulae, that of the third-order process emitted by the element of lowest atomic number, as given in the original paper [l] is long and cumbersome.

In this note the derivation of that formula is refined and the result presented in a significantly simpler form.
