The merits of the various simple rules for the estimation of gas mixture YVT properties are investigated in terms of the implications inherent in them. The equivalence of a number of estimation procedures is demonstrated.

A simple bridge method for the measurement of thermal conductivity of gases or gaseous mixtures is discussed and its design developed. A rigorous mathematical theory is applied to calculate the various corrections and to obtain the value of the thermal conductivity in terms of the conveniently meas
