✦ Synopsis
In this paper, we introduce a new simplified and reduced expressions for a direct analytical mathematical method to calculate the efficiencies of gamma cylindrical detectors with an arbitrarily positioned point source. The expressions are deduced through a simple and easy straightforward mathematical manner. The expressions are extended to include a co-axial disc source. The current theoretical and the published efficiency values are in good agreement.
