✦ Synopsis
Pyridmophanes as a new class of macrocyclic neutral carriers were studied as ionophores in PVC-based membrane electrodes. After adding a lipophiiic salt as an anion blocker to the membrane we succeeded in suppressing the anion interference and developing ion-selective electrodes for silver with excellent electrode characteristics.
