✦ Synopsis

Polycondensation of 1,3-bis(aminopropyl)-1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane with pyromellitic dianhydrid or with pyromellitic diester-diacid yielded polymers, which are soluble in organic solvents and suitable for injection moulding at 180 "C. When 1,3-bis(m-aminophenyl)-1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane was used as amine-component only brittle, less soluble, low molecular weight products were obtained.
