โœฆ Synopsis

Dynamic sealing

Devcon says that the product has many applications, particularly in maintenance and construction, for example sealing joints and seams around extractors, heat exchangers, ducting; waterproof repairs of pipes, tanks and containers: manufacturing in-situ gaskets.

Silite adheres well to both porous and non-porous substrates including metals, ceramics, wood fabrics and glass. Although it will also adhere to painted surfaces, paint does not adhere to Silite.

Users will find that the skin forms in some 10 minutes and it becomes tack-free in about an hour. Typically a 6 mm thick layer will cure fully in around 24 hours, depending on the ambient conditions.

The sealant is available as a clear or white compound in 100 g tubes and 3 10 g cartridges. It can be applied without sagging by caulking gun, even to vertical or overhead surfaces.
