Two signal extraction techniques, including one in the frequency domain and one in the time domain, are de¨eloped for the time-domain analysis of microwa¨e de¨ices fed by a transmission line, for which only one FDTD calculation is needed, and an incident wa¨e and a reflected wa¨e in both the time do

β¦ Synopsis
This paper describes the issues involved in signal design for radio navigation satellite services. The formation of an e!ective signal structure is essential for any such system. However, the process is complex and involves a large number of parameters. It can be hard to identify all e!ects of a given variable and hence its full e!ect on system performance. An analysis method, proposed for use in the ESA comparative system study, is described here. This method aids the identi"cation of the important parameters and the selection of the optimum signal structures.

This paper describes a novel and simple design technique for windows in the form of a weighted sum of cosine terms. First, it is made clear that not only does there not exist a basic difference between the BlackmanHarris windows and the Z-window proposed by Zhong and colleagues, there is just a diff
In this paper, we design an optical packet-switched net-( ) ( ) work with an optical ring resonator ORR , a delay line decoder DLD , ( ) and an optical address translator OATR . The ORR can discriminate the headerrpayload directly in the optical domain. The DLD, together with the optical threshold d
Qualitatively independent systems, a previously recognized type of combinatorial design, have been recently shown to have industrial applications involving the testing of complex systems. For these applications, even small reductions on the size of a qualitatively independent system can be significa
We present an educational software package, RANDEMO, created with the idea of supporting a basic course on random signal analysis. The package was implemented in MATLAB. All demonstrations are given in the forms of ''m'' files, which are integrated into a whole and called through appropriate menus.
