✦ Synopsis
Massbauer spectra of Fe(pyridine)gClz have been determined in large external magnetic fields at room temperatube and 78 K. The principal component OF the electric field >adient tensor is positive and consistent with nn electron .,
.in the d+ drbital. The results.indicate no change in orbital ground state for the low tempctature phase transition of this material.
