To determine short-range order in a &brass-type structure, measurements have been made on @AgZn. Using crystal monochromated CuKcc, and a single crystal of /lAgZn held at 33O"C, measurements were made of the diffuse scattering throughout a sufficient volume in reciprocal space. The low intensity of
