✦ Synopsis

Abstract

Sequence interspersion in the genome of Salmo trutta has been investigated by means of reassociation kinetics of DNA fragments of 0.5 and 2.5 Kb double‐stranded fragment lengths. Preliminary results indicate that only 34% of the trout genome presents a short period interspersion pattern, the remainder seems to be composed of unique and repeated sequences longer than 2.5 Kb.
