We have employed neutron spin-echo techniques to study the dynamics of the shape fluctuation of micromulsion droplets. We found that the main driving force of these fluctuations is the bending energy and that the droplets become softer with the addition of alcohol as cosurfactant.

We evaluate the polarizability of a spheroidal droplet.We find that the polarizability anisotropy depends solely on the ellipsoidal shape fluctuation amplitudes Us,,,. Hence the correlation function ( uZO( 0) uZO( t) ) can be probed by the Kerr effect and depolarized light scattering. Possible applications are discussed.
