Jericho Hansen has succeeded at his goal of becoming a member of America's most prestigious superhero team, Force Majeure. He's thrown in at the deep end almost immediately, when he has to investigate the brutal murder of a conspiracy theorist whose sights were set on Force Majeure itself. The investigation yields more questions than answers, but eventually those questions are answered, at least in part, by a not-so-chance meeting with an old acquaintance. Fearing for his own life, he is forced to flee Utopia City, unsure of who to trust and where to turn.
