Itβs 1917 in East St. Louis, Illinois. The wealthy Goodwin family and their children have been living with a dangerous secret. Suddenly, their 16 year old Negro maid Emma Lynn starts asking questions no one wants to answer. Where did she come from? Where are her parents?
