✦ Synopsis
SEXUALITY, MAGIC AND PERVERSION begins with the author’s description of how his interest in these hitherto obscure cults was first aroused by his meeting with a young woman, allegedly a witch, who described to him thé extremely perverted rite by which she was initiated into a small occult group. He then goes on to give a detailed account of his researches into the interrelationship between sexuality, perversion and magic—East and West, past and present—and to offer, for the first time a clear description in everyday language of the sexual-magical formulas and techniques of the left-handed Tantrics of India, the sexual alchemists of China, and the initiates of Crowley’s Order of Oriental Templars.
This fascinating and immensely readable book concludes with a survey of the role played by magical fantasy in contemporary hard-core pornography. There are appendices dealing with such diverse subjects as the homo-erotic mysticism of Ralph Chubb and the later disciples of the Prophet Vintras. Illustrated with photographs, drawings, and reproductions of paintings.
