โœฆ Synopsis

There are few techniques to numerically solve fifth-order boundary-value problems (BVPs). In this paper two sextic spline collocation methods are developed and analyzed. The first one uses spline interpolants and the second is based on spline quasiinterpolants. They are both proved to be second-order convergent. Numerical results verify the order of convergence predicted by the analysis.

Septic spline is used for the numerical solution of the sixth-order linear, special case boundary value problem. End conditions for the definition of septic spline are derived, consistent with the sixth-order boundary value problem. The algorithm developed approximates the solution and their higher-

A new fourth order method using quintic polynomials is designed in this paper for the smooth approximation of the two point boundary value problems involving second order differential equations lacking the first derivative. The present method enables us to approximate the unknown function as well as

In this paper, we develop quintic nonpolynomial spline methods for the numerical solution of fourth order two-point boundary value problems. Using this spline function a few consistency relations are derived for computing approximations to the solution of the problem. The present approach gives bett

In this paper, we apply the homotopy perturbation method for solving the fifth-order boundary value problems. The analytical results of the equations have been obtained in terms of convergent series with easily computable components. Several examples are given to illustrate the efficiency and implem
