When FBI Special agent Patterson Blake becomes the latest federal agent to get caught up in a serial killer’s sick game, she has just seven minutes to follow the clues and locate the victim before it is too late. And the odds are against her. The four previous agents who ended up on the receiving end of the Countdown Killer’s text messages failed to save the victim.
Now Patterson must do what those other agents could not and break the chain. But she will have to do it alone. No other Feds. No other cops. Just her. Those are the rules of the game. And Patterson is determined to win, because if she does, not only will a life be saved, but she might be able to stop the Countdown Killer for good.
There’s just one problem. The victim is in a subway station several city blocks away waiting for a train that could carry him away and doom her to failure even if she does reach the station in time.
