The appearance of spinning side bands in the \*H NMR spectra of oriented molecules is investigated. A theoretical interpretation of the side-band intensities is carried out. Information derived on the director orientation and distribution as a function of spinning speed is reported.

The dynamics of the liquid crystal director in "near magic angle" sample spinning has been investigated in mesophases with positive and negative diamagnetic susceptibility anisotropies and their mixtures with near-zero macroscopic diamagnetic anisotropy. To this end the deuteron quadrupolar splittin
## Abstract Proton NMR spectroscopy has proven useful in the detection of cancer in lymph node tissue. However, due to the high fat content of this type of tissue, 2D ^1^H COSY measurements (requiring acquisition times of 4โ5 h or longer) are necessary to obtain the spectral information necessary f
## Abstract The proton spectra of phenyltin trichloride including ^119^Snโ and ^117^Snโsatellites have been analysed in isotropic and in oriented solvents. The indirect as well as the direct protonโproton and protonโtin coupling constants have been measured. From these the protonโproton and protonโ
