Conclusion: Re(CO) 3 N,N,O-butyl-L-glycine, amino acid enantiomerically pure L, shows for the first time, that it is possible to combine a small biological moiety such as an L-alfa-amino acid with a bulky M(CO) 3 complex while retaining affinity for LAT1 transport.
