✦ Synopsis

Abstract

Serum fucose determinations were performed on 19 patients with β€œstable” or β€œinactive” malignancies, 33 patients with β€œactive” malignancies, and 14 β€œnormals.” A significant difference in the values between β€œnormal” and β€œstable” patients and those with β€œactive” cancer is shown. A role for this relatively simple serological test for diagnosing and following metastatic cancer is suggested.
