β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
Serum fucose determinations were performed on 19 patients with βstableβ or βinactiveβ malignancies, 33 patients with βactiveβ malignancies, and 14 βnormals.β A significant difference in the values between βnormalβ and βstableβ patients and those with βactiveβ cancer is shown. A role for this relatively simple serological test for diagnosing and following metastatic cancer is suggested.
