Harris Winslett can't believe she lost her leading man. No. What she really can't believe is that her friends think their brother-in-law, Harris's childhood nemesis, Turbo Baxter, might be able to play the part.

However opening night is three short weeks away and she has no other options. She can only hope he suddenly develops a brain, acting skills and a big boil on his handsome face, because when the guy decides to be charming, he is irresistible. Still, she refuses to fall for a man who hates libraries and has never read a book.

In order to get his truck fixed, trucking company owner, Turbo Baxter, must agree to be the leading man in the stuffy librarian's play production. Turbo takes the part because he needs his rig back on the road, even though he hates books, libraries and, most of all, librarians.

Turbo is actually starting to enjoy antagonizing the stodgy librarian, until opening night, when the entire play is in jeopardy and he must work together with Harris to save it.

Can two opposites overcome their differences and fall in love?
