Abstract

Sequential analysis of oligosaccharide structures by 1D multistep‐relayed COSY‐ROESY experiments is described. Selective excitation is performed by Gaussian‐shaped soft pulses. The application to saponins and flavonoids is demonstrated.

## Abstract Sequential analysis of oligosaccharide structures can be achieved by semiselective NMR‐pulse techniques. Gaussianshaped pulses combined with multistep‐relayed coherence transfer and NOE have been used to determine the sequence and assign the carbohydrate resonances of lanatoside C.
