EMC versions of the 1016 gasket have a conductive external skin to attenuate the transmission of electromagnetic interference across the sealed junction.

The 1016 series of gaskets are produced in neoprene and EPDM and adhere to clean, nonporous surfaces, such as painted or unpainted metal and plastics, or sealed natural materials such as varnished timber.

The neoprene tolerates working temperatures of -30°C to 70°C, with the fire-resistant versions capable of operating within a range of -40°C to 85°C.
