β¦ Synopsis
The photoconductrvrty of DCHD displays a malimum near 3.6 eV coinciding with the maximum of the So + Sr absorptron of the QrbazoIe group. It IS attributed to a sensrtizatron involvmg charge transfer from the excited chromophore to the chain The rate constant for non-radrarive decay of the carbazole singlet due to energy transfer to the chain rs 1 6 x 10r3 s-l, and for charge transfer = 3 x 10" s-l.
